We’ve been a little busy the past few days with getting the house ready to put on the market. Gin spent some time caulking while I washed the windows and dusted the cobwebs from the walls. Too bad I had to go to work over the weekend while she spackled the holes that were left when we took down some wall hangings. She then did some touch up painting too. She’s got this place looking real good.
We had two different real estate agents here yesterday to get a little input and decide which one we wanted to list our house with. They liked the way it was cleaned up and clutter-free. They both thought they could sell our house but it just depends on how it’s priced. This house was custom built for us in 2000 and has many elements of universal design (handicap accessible). We know we paid a little more for it than it was worth so we doubt that we’ll get that price. We’ll get an appraisal in a few days and go with it.
Our house is not really a good family style house but it is a good house for a more mature couple. One of the agents is actually working at a new upscale 55 plus development. We decided to go with her since she will have access to the clientele that would be apt to buy our house. It’ll be on the market soon. Wish us luck!
Thanks for dropping by, and enjoy each day of your life’s journey by finding beauty in the ordinary.

We may be listing around the same time. Good luck to you guys! See ya down the road.
Know how it is ... Wish it was us.
Interesting idea to get an appraisal to ensure you price your house right.
We're puzzling over how we should price ours, one thing we do know is that we can get a lot more now than if we had put it on the market back in March like our realtor recommended.
We're keeping our fingers crossed for you. I'm thinking for a buyer incentive to offer a years supply of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts...
We chose our agent because he has a large client base. I know they like to sell their own listings, so I thought it would be best to use someone that had lots of contacts. It sounds like you have a good plan! Good luck!
Well, you have don't your prep work and done your realtor home work... Sounds like you made a wise choice!
We wish you the best of luck and hope it flies off the market!!
Good luck in the prep. I'm sure it will go well..
Looks good. We will have our fingers crossed for you. Don't get too hung up on the price. Sell it.
If you get out having to paid a reasonable amount to live for 10 years, then you did good.
So happy to hear it's going on the market soon. Can't wait to see the FOR SALE sign on the blog.
Sounds like a perfect retiree house so your choice of realtor was smart. Good luck! I'll think of it being sold every day.
67 days WOO HOO!

We're so happy for you two. You are looking at it the right way. This market can be tough but if it is priced right you will sell it. Looking forward to seeing you down the road.
