Update

Stix n Brix
Clayton, NC

It's a good thing that we celebrated Christmas a little early with the family because it snowed a lot Christmas night.  It was my last working Christmas and it was memorable.  Depending on where you took the measurement, it was 8-10 inches of the white stuff in Raleigh.  It never crusted over with sleet like most of the snows here.  I still packed an overnight bag just in case it was too bad to drive home.  I have a feeling that we will get a couple more measurable snows this winter.

We had noticed a noise in the right front wheel of the MH on our way home from our last trip around Thanksgiving and wanted to have Gregory Poole take a look at it since they did the brake recall work on it.  We took it to them this morning.  They'll go ahead and do the oil change on her while she's there also.  We had discussed the possibility of getting some new shocks but decided against it.  We're planning to get some new tires next month and that will probably make for a smoother ride.

Something else happened during that last trip also.  The computer server messed up.  Gin's has been working on it off and on ever since we got back.  She's not having much luck.  It's all over my head.  She can see that the raid is there but just can't get to it.  Huh?  She had a lot of movies, books, pictures and music stored in there that she can't retrieve right now.  She had backed up the books and pictures, but it died before she could get to the music and movies.  She'll figure it out.  If not, she'll start another collection.

Thanks for dropping by, and enjoy each day of your life's journey by finding beauty in the ordinary.

I'm so glad we didn't stay in Raleigh this winter, that was a hard decision, but hindsight, it was the right decision.

I'm glad you're doing ok. Still following along. It's nice to know it's going to be your last December in Raleigh area. It's been cold, but back to high 70's this week. Come on down!!!!

I saw on the news about the snow you guys got. We are here in Western Maryland and didn't get any snow at all! I'm sure we will get our share. Stay warm!

Wow you guys got more snow than we did. Now that's a switch. Glad you fared OK with it. And CONGRATS on the last Christmas working! Whoohoo!!

Sorry to hear about Wanda's troubles. What did the right front turn out to be? I'll write to you about the tires. We have to do that too so I'd like to know what you choose. You are so lucky to have a place to take her that you like. There is no place anywhere around here. No RVs anywhere around here is the problem.

Like you, I have faith in Gin. She'll get em'

Snow!!!!! We hate snow!!!! We hope never to see it again, except in the mountains. Too many years of shoveling driveways and sidewalks in Indiana :-) Hope Gin gets the electronic stuff figured out. Looking forward to you two having fun on the road.

That is more snow that we got in STL. I am guessing we will get some more before it is all over. We are going to start our girl and run the ginny today. Good luck with the server.

If anybody can figure it out, it'll be Gin. She has so much talent, I know she'll come through.

I have much less talent (read none when it comes to computers) so I have Carbonite back up on my computers. It's a no brainer and works well for me.

Hope that the noise in the right wheel turns out to be nothing, it's always something with these RV beasts.

Happy New Year and thanks for all your kind comments and friendship. Looking forward to having time to visit with you at the Rally!
