A Day on a Boat

Cedar Point CG (site #37)
Croatan National Forest
Cedar Point, NC

Friday is the beginning of a weekend at most campgrounds and this area is no exception.  Gin’s cousin Pam joined us in the afternoon and we hung around the cg and visited with Gin’s folks.  The real treat came today when we rode over to Emerald Isle to see Gin’s cousin Tony (Pam’s brother) and his wife Margaret.  They have a very nice mobile home on the island with nice landscaping and a great screened in deck.  They also have a wonderful deck boat and Tony took us out in the Intracoastal Waterway for an afternoon of fishing and relaxing.  Tony and Gin each caught about a dozen hand-sized fish so no keepers.  Pam and I just relaxed and soaked up the beauty of the day.  Here’s Tony, Gin and Pam who were close buddies growing up.

Tony, Gin, and Pam

We weren’t the only ones out there enjoying the waves.  Here’s a few other boats anchored near the channel at the Hwy 58 bridge to Emerald Isle.

There were big sailboats and yachts enjoying the day also.  I know there are people who live on these nice boats but I’ll just keep my feet planted on the ground.

Oh no!  Don’t run into each other!!

Since there were no fresh fish to fry, we enjoyed a steak on the grill back at camp with Gin’s folks.  What a nice way to wrap up a wonderful day!

Oh, we did have an offer on the house, but they wanted it for “free”.  We’ll hold on to it for a little while longer since we’re having showings about every other day right now.

Thanks for dropping by and enjoy each day of your life’s journey by finding beauty in the ordinary.

Beautiful day on the water! It looked a bit choppy for our Sea Eagle though :)

Bummer about the house offer. Some people are just testing the water though, trying to find out how "desperate" you are! Hang in there. If you're having a lot of showings, only good things can happen :)

What a spectacular day...blue skies and beautiful clouds!! Nice day to be out on the water.

Glad to hear you have, at least, got an offer. Even if it was a bad offer, it is the first. We are still waiting for any offer;o(( Sounds like activity if picking up. It won't be long now!!

In the meantime, keep enjoying yourself!!!!

Glad you got an offer, sorry it was not a good one but it is progress. Looks like a great time out on the water.

We eventually sold our house through a lo-ball offer by countering back and forth several times until the price was acceptable -- not great, but acceptable. Good luck. Looks like you are enjoying life.

So glad to hear from you two and see what you are up to. Haven't seen you around lately. But sounds like you are having lots of fun.
Including insulting house offers. BUT an offer is an offer and it looks like things are picking up.
Still got my fingers crossed.

Maybe offer #1 was just pitching you a low ball and will get serious with your response. Hope so!!

Free is good, except when it's an offer on your house. We're still waiting for even a bad offer...

Many people asked me why I bought an RV instead of a boat with all my Coast Guard experience. I told them that if I break down in an RV, at least I can walk for help.

So, I enjoy other people's boats when I get the chance. ;c)

Hope you get a great offer soon! Waiting can be trying. Some shoppers just want something for nothing.. they hope that the sellers are desperate! Not you!

Glad to see you are getting at least positive offers. Looks like the boating is fun!
