Meeting Tawanda and a River Paddle

Hillsborough River SP (site #35)
Thonotosassa Fl

Monday morning we finally met TAWANDA.  She’s beautiful and I think she likes us, at least by our first impression.  Lazydays is huge!!  There are over 500 employees and we were welcomed nicely.  Our salesman Joe Coupas showed us around in a golf cart.  Since we are buying a nice DP, we will be in their Crown Club for 3 years.  We might be a little out of our element because we ain’t fancy folks, but I’m gonna enjoy the highlife for a few days anyway.  Of course, I forgot the camera but I’ll get some shots next week.  Back at camp, one of our furry neighbors was checking out Wanda.
Wanna buy it?

In the afternoon we went for a paddle on the Hillsborough River with Howard and Linda.  I did remember the camera for that.  It was so peaceful!!  It was definitely time in Sylville.

We heard that there were some alligators sunning themselves in the other direction so we paddled downstream and found them.  Don’t worry.  We kept our distance, but Howard wanted to get close…Linda, not so much.

After getting the boats put away, H&L came over to join us for a nice steak dinner.  We realize that going to a couple of their Rallies was the best thing we’ve ever done.  We had planned on full-timing before we ran across their website, but we have gleaned a lot of information from it.  The rallies gave us the opportunity to meet some of the best  lifelong friends that we’ll ever have.  Life doesn’t get much better.

Life is what you make of it…enjoy the little things in each day.

That is so true about the friendships made. I feel I've known some of our new friends for a long, long time :)

I speak from experience...Alligators can LUNGE! I would not want to be in an inflatable boat around one.

TAWANDA!!!

Ride on, good ladies, ride on!

Can't wait to see the new header picture with Tawanda in it.

You're gonna love driving a DP, even if it is slightly bigger than Wanda. Plus, with all that extra room there'll be many places for those evil people to hide that George Forman grill...

The only thing I don't like about a DP is driving it up to the gas station and putting that expensive diesel fuel in it. Oh for the days when diesel fuel was cheaper than gasoline! :c(

We wish you the very best with your new home. You deserve it after all the years of hard work you put in.

Looks like a wonderful kayak. But then isn't every kayak wonderful??

I was SO hoping pictures of the great Tawanda would be here but I guess I'll just have to try to be patient. Or maybe I'll just go on over and see her for myself. I could whisper a few things about you two in her ear. :-)

We bought our girl at Lazydays. When you pick up Tawanda, they will tell you you can stay one night. You can stay as long as you need to. Test every system! You don't want to have to bring it back for service. Enjoy!

Can't wait to see Tawanda. Isn't it great that Nancy and Bill sold their house?! Speaking of rallies.... Dianne and I are going to the Dreamers Rally in April in Kerrville, TX. It would be great to see our old friends there!

We got the biggest laugh out of the picture of Howard & Linda with the 'gator in the background. It looks like he's only a few feet behind Howard and he has a big grin on his face... like YUM! Dinner!

Congrats on the house sale and TAWANDA! We'll be at Hillsborough River SP in site 23. Hope to see you guys - it seems like forever ago we were at the RV-Dreams rally in TN.
