Redneck Camping

Driveway
Clayton, NC

The dental appointment went ok on Tuesday.  I now have a temporary crown and have to go to a Periodontist next week for a consultation.  He has to look at it and probably take more x-rays to see how much bone needs to be shaved off.  What joy awaits me. In love

Wednesday was a cool day here so we just did laundry and used the wide open floor spaces to cut some tire cover material while we still have access to the facilities in the house.  We call it “Redneck Camping” when we stay in the driveway like this, but we don’t have a lot of choice.  The house was supposed to have been sold on January 6 but the folks that were going to buy our house had their house sell fall through.  They still want it though.

So what do you do when you are once again in Limbo Land?  RV projects of course!  Today was a beautiful day so I washed Tawanda and put some Rejex on the front to keep the bugs from sticking.  Roamin now has a “reflective” place to wile away the hours.

Gin’s done most of the work on the tire covers and will probably finish up tomorrow while I do more Rejex (if it doesn’t rain).  We’ll take advantage of the empty house while it’s not quite sold.  We’re keeping a positive attitude though.

Thanks for dropping by and enjoy each day of your life’s journey by finding beauty in the ordinary.

Your house looks so nice...empty. Hope a new buyer comes along quickly to fill it up with their stuff.

You keep shining up Tawanda and we'll have to wear sunglasses when we come to visit. ;c)

Sorry to hear about the house sale. It must be hard waiting on the sale of someone elses house! Will you put it back on the market?

That's great that you guys are keeping a positive attitude and making the best of the situation. Spring is a good time for selling houses, so hopefully things will heat up soon.

Good luck at your appointment next week. Ewww!

What a big work area you have!!! Know you'd rather not have it, but great way to make lemonade out of this lemon. It will taste much better soon...that buyer is not far away;o)))

Of course, we expect patterns and diagrams of this entire process. Tawanda's baby sister will need tire covers as well ;o)))

Oh, Bill just told me we're getting a baby brother... I don't think so!!!

You certainly had more room to make your tire covers than I did!

Where do you find Rejex? Do you use it on the windows as well?

Yes Karen. We wanted to take advantage of the space while we had it. We ordered Rejex a couple of years ago from the internet. Never seen it at a store and yes it does good on glass.

Going to have to see about that Rejex. Anything to help keep the bugs from cementing themselves on :)

Good luck at the periodontist. Dental work is always so much fun :)

Good use of your "work" space. Can't wait to see what other ideas are born while you whittle away your time! Hope you both are doing well!

I'm thinking that you all should get together with Paul and Marti, and come visit me. That way Paul could wash and wax my rig, and you could do my windows?? :)

SO glad to hear your dental work went smoothly. Hope next week goes just as well. Then you can get out of dodge and hang out someplace where you can use those yaks and have your house sell while you are gone. Maybe come back down here???? We're missing you!!

Glad to see you are keeping Gin busy. But you are shaming me into thinking that in about 10 days when we are "sitting' AGAIN, I'm going to have to get out the rejex. Problem for us is that the campgrounds don't want you "washing" your rig. So that's my excuse!!

Don't see how Tawanda could need it she was about to blind us with her shine last time we saw her. :-)

Wow, your girls sure are busy.

We hope your house sells really soon.
